Sales Executive

1. About Us

NanoFrontier is a research-driven startup that provides end-to-end solutions from design to mass production and quality assurance for materials in energy, environment, and pharmaceutical fields, centered around nanoparticle generation technology through reprecipitation method developed over many years at Tohoku University. We also provide nanoparticle manufacturing services and technology licensing, rapidly advancing joint research and PoC with manufacturers and academic institutions in Sendai (main base) and Tokyo (collaboration base).


2. Role & Responsibilities

We need strong execution to convert early prospects into signed deals. You will run the full cycle from target prospecting to proposal, demo/sample coordination, PoC scoping, and closing. You will also help standardize quotes/pricing and SLAs, maintain CRM hygiene and forecast.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound/expo/referral prospecting and meeting creation
  • Use-case based proposals/quotes, demo/sample coordination
  • PoC proposal support (goals/KPIs/org/schedule)
  • Keep CRM updated, next actions, and forecast
  • Hit quarterly goals (new/existing, count and revenue)
  • Gather VOC/competitor/pricing intel and feed back

4. Requirements, Skills & Experience

Required

  • Alignment with NanoFrontier’s business and mission
  • 3+ years B2B sales in chemicals/materials/equipment/semiconductors
  • Practical knowledge of requirements → quote → basic/individual contracts
  • CRM pipeline operation and reporting
  • Japanese (negotiation) and English (reading/writing)

Preferred

  • Joint research/grants (NEDO/JST) collaboration
  • Basic knowledge of chemical regulations/SDS/export control
  • Tradeshow ops, collaboration with inside sales/marketing
  • Overseas customer/partner handling

  • Someone who can run short hypothesis → proposal → consensus cycles
  • Someone who can record and share changes to avoid misses
  • Someone who can manage themselves by numbers (margin/conversion/cycle time)

5. Location & Work Style

  • Location: Tokyo (client/expo/university visits as needed)
  • Work style: Hybrid (2-3 days in office expected)
  • Work hours: Full flex (core hours 10:00-16:00)
